Chief Technology Officer, Mission Support & Modernization
Erik Grant is the Technical Director for the Mission Support and Modernization (MSM) mission area within Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS). Raytheon IIS is a global leader in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; advanced cyber solutions; weather and environmental solutions and information-based solutions for homeland security. The MSM mission area provides full life-cycle mission operations, engineering, sustainment and modernization services for site and platform missions across all domains, as well as multi-intelligence (multi-INT) ground systems and unmanned systems technology.
Mr. Grant leads an engineering team focused on creating business growth through the application of emerging technologies and innovation to create solutions for national decision makers and warfighters. Mr. Grant directs internal technology research and development, builds strategic partnerships, and oversees development of technical solutions that enable customers to modernize mission operations and realize their future vision.
Prior to assuming the MSM Technical Director position, Mr. Grant spent 21 years serving in various Engineering and Business Development leadership roles supporting the Intelligence Community (IC). Mr. Grant joined Raytheon in 2003, serving as a capture manager, business development manager, and engineering technical director. His teams have developed innovative solutions that integrate advanced analytics and automation into critical mission systems to revolutionize how intelligence operations are performed.
Prior to joining Raytheon, Mr. Grant was a Principal Systems Engineer at Orincon Sygenex where he supported several large prime contractor development programs while leading business strategy and development for the company within the GEOINT market. Mr. Grant also spent four years with Lockheed Martin as a systems engineer leading system deployments at multiple sites around the world.
Mr. Grant received a bachelor’s degree with honors in Aerospace Engineering and a master’s degree in Engineering Science from the Pennsylvania State University.
