MAJ Austin Baker is the deputy director for the DIU Space Portfolio and also serves as a joint program manager for projects supporting tactical geospatial intelligence, space-enabled ground systems, assured PNT, and tactical launch. He is a career Army Space Operations Officer specializing in directed energy, space situational awareness, and space support to deployed Warfighters. Previous assignments include the Unified Space Vault and Joint Space Operations Center at JFCC SPACE, White Sands Missile Range, and the 25th Infantry Division. He holds a B.S.E. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan and will be returning to graduate school in Fall 2024.
