Robert McNamara has led Business and Technology Strategy projects for more than 20 years in the commercial, public, and non-profit sectors in North America and Europe. Robert currently leads the IT Strategy practice at Guidehouse, and works across industry sectors advising senior executives on all aspects of their business and technology strategies, identifying opportunities to grow revenue, increase performance, build stronger capabilities, improve customer service and reduce costs. The IT Strategy practice helps clients develop and implement comprehensive IT strategies aligned with their organizational strategy, leverage technologies to transform their organization, improve the management and ROI of the IT function, and support end-to-end IT transformation / modernization initiatives.
Prior to joining Guidehouse, Robert was a Managing Director in the Strategy practice at Accenture. Robert worked with commercial and public sector clients on business, IT, organization, and cybersecurity strategies, organization and operating model development, workforce and human capital improvement, enterprise transformation, process improvement, M&A and sustainability. His industry experience includes financial services, communications, high-tech, industrials, retail, aerospace & defense, health and public sector.
Robert began his career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in Economic Research and Internal Audit. In addition, he worked at JP Morgan Chase, serving in various financial and investment banking roles.
Robert has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University. Robert holds a PMP Certification.
