Guidehouse to Support Health Care Supply Chain Security Under $2.2B USAID Contract
Guidehouse has announced that the U.S. Agency for International Development awarded the company a prime position on the multi-year, $2.2 billion Global Health Comprehensive Technical Assistance for Health Supply Chain and Pharmaceutical Management contract.
Alicia Harkness, lead official of Guidehouse Health, said the company has the expertise in private and public sector supply chains that allowed the company to improve medicine availability and health outcomes worldwide. Harkness said Guidehouse will use its position on the contract to address ongoing and potential health challenges.
Comprehensive TA is part of USAID’s Next Generation Global Health Supply Chain Suite of Programs, designed to help partners improve health outcomes by protecting national supply chains and improving access to health commodities, Guidehouse said.
The contract builds on several awards the company secured in recent months.
In December, the assistant secretary of the Air Force for financial management and comptroller awarded Guidehouse a two-year task order to provide workforce management transformation support. The company was tasked with providing workforce development and strategic planning services, as well as supporting various workforce aspects, including analysis, training, performance management and data analytics.
In November, Guidehouse secured a five-year FBI contract to provide IT services to the Office of the Chief Information Officer.
