Executive Profile: John Eckenrode, Guidehouse’s Cyber Solutions Director
John Eckenrode serves as Guidehouse's director of cybersecurity solutions within the advanced solutions sector. He leads the company's Department of Defense cyber business and helps the DOD account teams penetrate cyber markets.
Eckenrode is also responsible for tracking changes in the cyber market and priming the company on how to respond. He leverages over three decades of experience tackling cybersecurity at the operational, mission and strategic levels, Guidehouse said.
Before he joined Guidehouse in May 2018, he served as a director at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, a multinational professional services firm based in the United Kingdom.
Eckenrode spent nearly a decade as a lead associate at Booz Allen Hamilton. He led a team of information assurance professionals who served the Naval Sea Systems Command's chief information officer.
Previously, he briefly served as TSTC's security services director, serving customers from the Department of Homeland Security's Citizenship and Immigration Services division.
His other past roles include program manager at Pragmatics, sales engineer at Telos, senior information assurance analyst at Northrop Grumman and accounting information system security analyst at Comsis.
He spent three years as a special agent for the Department of State's Diplomatic Security Service.
Eckenrode earned a bachelor's degree in history from the Virginia Military Institute.
He also holds certifications as an information systems security professional, information security manager and supervisory control and data acquisition security architect.
