US Navy Awards HII $134M Task Order to Develop Training Software
Virginia-based HII announced on Thursday that its Mission Technologies division received a potential five-year, $134 million U.S. Navy task order to deliver readiness and training software development support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity.
The order was made under the Naval Sea Systems Command’s SeaPort Next Generation contract, HII said.
Glenn Goodman, president of Mission Technologies’ live, virtual and constructive solutions division, said the contract continues his organization’s history of providing software development and engineering support to advance Navy combat readiness.
HII’s services are expected to cover the Advanced Training Domain, Battle Force Tactical Training, and the Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense and Anti-Submarine Warfare Trainer platforms.
The award follows a $41 million task order in June to deploy and sustain integrated training systems for NSWCDD DNA. In May, the company secured a five-year, $242 million task order to provide the Navy division’s LVC environments with shore-based training, engineering and development support.
