ManTech to Provide Aircraft Support Services Under $100M NAWCAD Contract

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division has awarded ManTech International a five-year, $100 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for aircraft systems support.

Under the recompeted contract, ManTech will provide aircraft combat systems in support of the Naval Air Systems Command Weaponeereing Integration, Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization and the Naval Aviation Technical Information Product Team. Deliverables include engineering and technical services, configuration management, technical and programmatic documentation development, program management and project planning services.

The company will also translate existing and new original equipment manufacturer and government source materials to create new NATPOS and NATIP products.

Work will address advanced aircraft platform systems employment and flight clearance product requirements that are affected by software changes, ManTech said Tuesday.

The defense contractor will also provide subject matter expertise to ensure that NAWCAD and fleet centers of excellence would have consistent and complementary technical and tactical flow. The support services are expected to give the U.S. Navy air warfare dominance.

David Hathaway, executive vice president and general manager of ManTech’s defense sector and a Potomac Officers Club member, said the contractor has been providing similar services to NAWCAD for over 10 years.

NAWCAD performs aircraft launch and recovery, air vehicle engineering, aircraft development, avionics delivery and other services in support of the Navy’s crewed and uncrewed aircraft fleet.
